DMACC's Abbi Brenizer named NJCAA Second-Team All-American
  • Brenizer led the Bears to a 23-18 overall record and an 8-3 record in the ICCAC

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named DMACC's Abbi Brenizer to the NJCAA Division II Second All-American team.

 

Brenizer, a sophomore from Norwalk, is the only member of the 2024-25 DMACC volleyball team to earn All-American honors and she is the 13th DMACC Volleyball All-American dating back to the 2002-03 season.

 

Brenizer led the Bears to a 23-18 overall record and an 8-3 record in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC). She led the ICCAC in kills with 424 and hit .341 with those kills coming from 971 attacks with 93 attack errors. She averaged 2.83 kills per set. Brenizer's season also included 10 assists, 41 ace serves, 136 digs and 142 blocks, including 124 block assists. Brenizer ranked sixth nationally in total blocks.
