
- Bears get a fifth-place finish from sophomore Grace Collins in the 1500-meter run

The DMACC women's track & field team competed in the Region 11 Championships May 2 to 4 at Council Bluffs and got a pair of fifth-place finishes from sophomores Grace Collins of Johnston and Abigail Harding of Iowa Falls.
Collins took fifth in the 1500-meter run, posting a time of 4 minutes, 53.12 seconds and Harding was fifth in the 800-meter run, crossing the finish line in 2:25.24.
Sophomore Kayden Spencer of Boone, freshmen Jaycie Vohs of Galva and Dakota Tromblay of Ogden and sophomore Tori Yunggebauer of Williamsburg also ran in the 1500-meter run and finished seventh, 13th, 14th and 17th respectively. Spencer's time was 4:59.65, Vohs posted a time of 5:20.17, Tromblay turned In a time of 5:29.46 and Yunggebauer's time was 6:00.62.
Collins and Spencer will be representing DMACC in the 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's and Women's Track & Field Championships May 15 to 17 at Gowan Stadium in Hutchinson, Kan.
