- Sophomore Grace Collins finishes seventh in the 1500-meter run
- Sophomore Ava Manning finishes eighth in the 1500-meter run

Five members of the DMACC women's track & field team competed in the Augustana Meet of Champions April 17 and 18 at Rock Island, Ill.
Sophomore Grace Collins of Johnston led all five runners with a seventh-place finish in the women's 1500-meter run, crossing the finish line in 4 minutes, 55.20 seconds. Sophomores Ava Manning of Des Moines and Kayden Spencer of Boone were right behind Collins, finishing eighth and tenth respectively. Manning's time was 4:56.38 and Spencer posted a time of 4:57.32.
Freshman Dakota Tromblay of Ogden and sophomore Tori Yunggebauer of Williamsburg joined Collins, Manning and Spencer in the 1500-meter run. Tromblay was 59th in 5:34.02 and Yunggebauer finished 61st in 5:35.00.
Yunggebauer also ran in the women's 800-meter run and finished in 52nd place with a time of 2:43.43.
The DMACC women's track & field team will compete in the Drake Relays and/or the Kip Janvrin Open April 24 to 26. The Drake Relays will be held at Drake Stadium in Des Moines and the Kip Janvrin Open will take place at Simpson College in Indianola.
