Sophomore Grace Collins was the top finisher as the DMACC women's track & field team competed in the Jim Duncan Invitational April 11 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
Collins placed eight in the women's 5000-meter run, crossing the finish line in 18 minutes, 34.47 seconds. Sophomore Kayden Spencer wasn't far behind Collins, finishing 12th with a time of 18:39.55.
The Bears got a 10th place finish from freshman Ava Manning of Des Moines in the women's 1500-meter run and sophomore Tori Yunggebauer of Williamsburg was 24th in the same event. Manning's time was 5:00.66 and Yunggebauer posted a time of 5:28.45.
DMACC sophomore Abigail Harding of Iowa Falls ran in the women's 800-meter run and was 28th with a time of 2:25.42.
