DMACC's Ashley Michel named ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Women's Golf

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Ashley Michel the ICCAC athlete of the week for women's golf for the week of March 6 to 12.

Michel, a sophomore from Nassau, Bahamas, is the first member of the DMACC women's golf team to be honored by the conference this spring. She also earned the honor twice during the fall season.

Michel, who qualified for the 2022 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Golf Championships, shot a two-over-par 75 to take medalist honors in the Columbia College Invitational March 6 at Columbia, Mo. Her performance helped the Bears to a fourth-place finish in the team competition.

The DMACC women's golf team will make a return trip to Missouri March 27 and 28 when the Bears play in the William Woods Spring Invite at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo.
