Michel broke 80 for the first time in her DMACC career in the NIACC Invitational April 18 at the Mason City Country Club in Mason City. Her 77 tied her for medalist honors with Waldorf University's Amanda Karvala. She and Karvala won medalist honors by two strokes. The DMACC women's golf team finished third in the tournament.

Michel is averaging 84.16 strokes per round this season and is listed as the 84th ranked women's golfer in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). She is ranked seventh in the ICCAC.

Michel is coming off a seventh-place finish in the NJCAA Plains District Championship April 25 and 26 at Junction City, Kan. Her performance led the DMACC women's golf team to a fourth-place finish in the team standings. She also qualified for the 2022 NJCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship May 9 to 12 at Sanford, Fla.
