Bellingham Leads DMACC Women's Golf Team to Second-Place Finish in Morningside Tourney

Sophomore Jaime Bellingham of Auckland, New Zealand, took medalist honors with a six-over-par 72 to lead the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) women's golf team to a second-place finish in the Morningside Spring Invite September 11 at Sioux City.

 

Briar Cliff University took the team championship with 328 strokes and DMACC tallied 361 strokes in finishing second.

 

Other DMACC results included 90s by sophomore Kortney Orr of Columbus Junction and freshman Allison Schweers of Carroll, a 103 by freshman Kylie Nichols of Ogden and a 111 by freshman Meghan Matherly of Ankeny. Orr and Schweers tied for 11th in the individual competition, Nichols finished 38th and Matherly finished 50th.
