Co-ICCAC Female Student-Athlete of the Year honors were named this season after two outstanding displays of athletic success and off the field achievement. DMACC Softball's Courtney Donahue and Landry McCoid were two of this year's finest and earned this year's designation.

Donahue was a major factor as to why DMACC reached the NJCAA Division II World Series for the 10th season in a row. One of the most dominant pitchers in ICCAC Division II history, she earned numerous awards including Region 11 Pitcher of the Year and. NJCAA First Team All-Region. It is anticipated she will be named an NJCAA First Team All-American based on Region rank and her statistical dominance nationally.

The sophomore threw four perfect games during this season along with six additional no-hitters. She leads all of Division II in strikeouts, strikeouts per seven innings, and walks, hits per innings pitched (WHIP) with games to go at the NJCAA World Series. To add on to an already filled resume, Donahue was also ranked third nationally in ERA and fourth in wins.

Throughout the season, Donahue has a record of 26-4 in 30 games started. She has pitched 25 complete games and 12 shutouts. With a total of 186.2 innings pitched, she has only given up 25 earned runs and just eight in conference play. She had a 12.8 strikeout to walk ratio and opposing batters batting .113 against her. Donahue was awarded ICCAC Player of the Week nine different times.

Donahue has signed to play for Missouri University in the NCAA Division I Southeastern Conference next season.

As a part of her community, Donahue volunteered at the DMACC Food Pantry, was an elementary school reading club member, a part of the softball buddies' program, took part in the Softball Leadership Council, and she coordinated a fall yard clean-up for the elderly in Boone.

During all this work on and off the field, Donahue held a perfect GPA as a pre-med student. She worked over 30 hours of community service and also led her team's academic support committee. She earned NJCAA All-Academic First Team and First Team Academic All-Region as well.

Her head coach Bob Ligouri stated that over his 50 years of coaching, her character was one of the very best of all his athletes- male or female.

McCoid is a multi-sport student-athlete participating on Iowa Central's Women's Soccer team and Women's Track & Field team. For the Tritons, she is the First Team All-American selection in women's soccer since 2015. McCoid was the ICCAC Division II Women's Soccer Player of the Year and a First Team All-Region choice. Her 35 goals and 79 points scored were the second-most in NJCAA Division II.

As a part of the Track & Field team, she won the 2024 Outdoor Region 11 Heptathlon title at the Region 11 Championships. Earlier this year at the Indoor Regional Championship, McCoid placed third in the Pentathlon, fifth in the High Jump, seventh in the Triple Jump, and was a part of the winning 4x800 Meter Relay team.

McCoid led the team in soccer with nine game-winning goals and finished the season with nine assists.

In her free time, McCoid participated in Iowa Central's Track & Field's visit day at the Friendship Haven Nursing Home. In the classroom, she was awarded with First Team All-ICCAC Academic status and earned NJCAA All-Academic Second Team honors as well.

McCoid is transferring to Western Illinois University to continue both her academic and soccer career.
