Freshman Mitchell Cummins of Chanhassen, Minn., began DMACC's winning rally in the opener when he was hit by a pitch. Sophomores Brodie Kresser of Jesup and Reed Stallman of Alburnett were then retired on a fly out and foul out respectively. Cummins moved to second on a wild pitch before freshman Camden Kaufman of Waukee was walked to set the stage for Kuehl who lined a double into left-center, driving in Cummins and Kaufman and giving the Bears the win.
