Samantha was hired on contract through Boone Rehab Services in the Boone County Hospital to provide event coverage for DMACC athletics in fall 2013. She was then moved to a part time contract providing injury evaluation, rehab, and event coverage. In July 2022, Samantha was hired full time by DMACC to provide all athletic healthcare to DMACC athletes. She has built great relationships with Boone County Hospital and McFarland Clinic to help provide additional healthcare to the DMACC athletes. She was a part of planning and developing the new athletic training room in the Fareway Fieldhouse on the Boone campus and has called that office home since spring 2021. 

Samantha received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training from the University of Northern Iowa in May 2009. She received her Master of Science in Health Promotion and Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania in December 2010. She provided athletic training services to Culver Academies, Louisiana College, and Ogden High School prior to starting full-time with DMACC. She resides in Scranton, IA with her husband Travis and 3 basset hounds, Wally, Addi Grace, and Tommy.
