Jacobsen, a sophomore from Adel, pitched DMACC to victories over Ellsworth Community College (ECC) and Northeast (Neb.) Community College (NECC) during the week.

Jacobsen threw her third perfect game of the season against ECC, defeating the Panthers 10-0 in five innings. She faced just 15 batters and struck out 12.

Jacobsen's last four starts have included two perfect games, a no-hitter and a one-hitter. She has not allowed a run in her last 40 innings covering seven starts. She leads the ICCAC in earned run average (0.10), strikeouts (142) and is third in wins with 11. Jacobsen is ranked third nationally in earned run average and second in strikeouts.

Jacobsen has thrown 67 innings this season, allowing five runs on 21 hits and only one of the five runs she has allowed is earned. She has walked five batters and is averaging 14.84 strikeouts a game.

The DMACC softball team, ranked first in the NJCAA Division II poll, is 26-0 on the season after coming off a pair of wins against second-ranked Kirkwood Community College (KCC) on April 11. The Bears will face Iowa Lakes Community College (ILCC) in a doubleheader today at the DMACC softball diamond.
