The DMACC women's cross country team had only two runners compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XI Championships held at Lakeview Golf Course in Fort Dodge.

Iowa Central Community College won the event in the Division I competition with 21 team points, followed by Iowa Western Community College with 43 points.  Hawkeye Community College won the Division II competition with 15 team points.  DMACC competed in the Division II competition.  Since DMACC only had two runners competing and the top five runners' positions count for team standings, DMACC did not qualify for the team scores.

DMACC's Wendy Liera of LeGrand individually finished in 11th place with a time of 23:18.33 over the 5K course.  DMACC's Karima Koko of Des Moines took 14th place in a time of 25:12.14.

In addition, Wendy Liera was named to the Honorable Mention All-Region team.
