DMACC's Jordan King named ICCAC and NJCAA Runner of the Week
  • King is the first DMACC men's cross country runner to be honored this fall
  • King finished sixth in the Grand View Invitational on Sept. 26
  • King's time was 28 minutes, 4 seconds on the 8K course

 

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named DMACC's Jordan King the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II Men's Cross Country for the week of September 18 to 24.

 

King, a freshman from Boone, is the first member of the DMACC men's cross country team to be honored by the ICCAC this fall.

 

King, a freshman from Boone, led the Bears to a fourth-place finish in the Grand View Invitational Sept. 26 at Ankeny, finishing sixth in the individual competition. His time on the 8K course was 28 minutes, 4 seconds, a 5:38 mile pace. He was the top ICCAC runner in the event.

 

Earlier this season King posted an 8K time of 27:23 in the Trent Smith Invitational Sept. 15 at Mason City, finishing sixth.

 

The DMACC men's cross country team will run in the Indian Hills Invitational Oct. 13 at Ottumwa.
