DMACC MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM RUNS AT NJCAA REGION XI

The DMACC men's cross country team ran in the National Junior College Athletic Association Region XI Championships at Lakeview Golf Course in Fort Dodge on Sunday, November 1.

Iowa Central Community College won in the Division I competition with 25 team points, followed by Iowa Western Community College with 40 team points.  North Iowa Area Community College won in the Division II competition with 19 team points, followed by Hawkeye Community College with 40 team points.

DMACC competed in the Division II competition, but only had four runners competing with the top five runners' positions counting for team standings, so DMACC did not qualify for the team scores.

DMACC's Cameron Campbell of Ames led the Bears with a 21st place finish, running the 8K course in 30.51.29.   Preston Rogers, a freshman from Winterset, finished in 23rd place 31:58.93.  Cole Bennett of Ogden took 24th place with a time of 33.51.44.
