DMACC's Mark Bradshaw named ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II men's basketball
  • Bradshaw, a sophomore from Chester, Penn., is the third DMACC men's basketball player to be honored by the ICCAC this season
  • Sophomores Christian Haffner of Gresham, Wis., and Willie Guy of Cedar Rapids have also been honored
  • Bradshaw has made three three-pointers a game six times this season

 

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Mark Bradshaw the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II men's basketball for the week of March 22 to 28.

 

Bradshaw, a sophomore from Chester, Penn., is the third player from the DMACC men's basketball team to be honored by the conference this season. Sophomore Christian Haffner of Gresham, Wis., earned the honor for the week of Feb. 22 to 28 and sophomore Willie Guy of Cedar Rapids was named the Athlete of the Week for Feb. 1 to 7.

 

Bradshaw averaged 15 points, four rebounds and three assists a game in helping the Bears to wins against Northeast (Neb.) Community College (NECC) and Kirkwood Community College (KCC). He scored 13 points, pulled down five rebounds and had three assists in a 78-57 win over NECC on March 24 at Norfolk, Neb., and scored 17 points with four rebounds, three assists and one blocked shot as DMACC defeated KCC, 77-65, March 27 at Cedar Rapids.

 

Bradshaw was 3-of-6 from three-point range in the KCC game, marking the sixth time this season he had made three or more three-pointers in a game.

 

Bradshaw is DMACC's second-leading scorer this season, averaging 12 points a game. He has scored 228 points on 39 percent shooting from the field, having made 81 of 210 field goal attempts. He is 26 of 73 from three-point range and 40-of-66 from the free throw line.

 

Bradshaw is averaging four rebounds a game on 76 total rebounds, including 68 defensive rebounds. His season also includes 44 assists, 22 steals and five blocked shots. His assist to turnover ratio is 1.8.
