The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) baseball player Jackson Uner the ICCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 11 to 17.

Uner, a sophomore from Stillwater, Minn., helped the Bears to a 4-2 record during the week, including a four-game sweep of Western Technical College (WTC). In just five innings on the mound in an 11-0 win against WTC, Uner struck out eight batters and had a no-hitter through four innings.

Uner is 1-1 with a 1.93 earned run average this season. He has pitched nine and a third innings, allowing four runs on seven hits. Uner has struck out eight batters and walked one. He is averaging 7.71 strikeouts for every nine innings pitched. Two of the four runs allowed by Uner are unearned.

The DMACC baseball team is 7-5 this season and has won its last four games. The Bears will host Marshalltown Community College (MCC) in a doubleheader March 21 at the DMACC baseball diamond. The first game begins at 1 p.m.
