• Thompson was also honored the week of October 2 to 8
• Thompson shared medalist honors in the DMACC Invitational with an 8-over-par 80

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Meg Thompson the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Women's Golf for the week of October 9 to 15.

The conference has honored Thompson, a sophomore from Greene, for the second consecutive week. She also earned the honor for the week of Oct. 2 to 8 and is the only member of the DMACC women's golf team to be honored by the conference this fall.

Thompson posted an 8-over-par 80 to share medalist honors in the DMACC Invitational Oct. 9 at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone. Her performance helped the Bears to a second-place finish behind Iowa Central Community College (ICCC).

Thompson closed out the fall season by finishing in the top six in all six tournaments she played in. She finished in the top three in five of the six tournaments, including one first place finish, two seconds and two thirds.
