In the first game, DMACC, which is ranked eighth in the nation in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II poll, scored a run in the top of the eighth inning to take a 4-3 lead.  However, KCC scored twice in the bottom of the eighth to record the 5-4 win.  KCC is now ranked 16th in the latest NJCAA Division II poll.

In the second game, the Bears came up with only four hits—one each by Kennedy, Palmer, freshman Madisyn Kelley of Nora Springs and sophomore Amaya Snyder of Cedar Rapids.

Freshman Kinsley Robinson of Tiffin pitched two and two thirds innings giving up seven runs, however, all seven runs were unearned thanks to three costly errors by the Bears. With the loss, she is now 7-4 on the season. Freshman Lauryn Foudree of West Des Moines gave up three hits and three runs in the two innings she was on the mound.  She had three strikeouts.
