DMACC men's cross country team places 24th in National Championships
  • Freshman Quinton Kimrey leads DMACC with a 52nd-place finish
  • Sophomore Devon Keuning and freshman Jake Hitchcock are 113th and 145th respectively
  • Freshman Richord Tingue is 162nd and sophomore Brooklyn Pierce finishes in 176th place

 

The DMACC men's cross country team closed out the season with a 24th-place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Cross Country Championships November 12 at Tallahassee, Fla.

 

Paradise Community College (PCC) took the team championship with 68 points and Yoteul Garcia of Mesa Community College (MCC) won individual honors with a time of 25 minutes, 25 seconds on the 8K course.

 

Freshman Quinton Kimrey of Linden led DMACC with a 52nd-place finish in 28:22. Sophomore Devon Keuning of Ankeny was 113th in 30:35 and freshman Jake Hitchcock of Johnston ran a 31:54 and placed 145th.

 

Freshman Richord Tingue of Haiti and sophomore Brooklyn Pierce of Urbandale closed out DMACC's performance with 162nd- and 176th-place finishes respectively. Tingue cross the finish line in 32:57 and Pierce posted a time of 35:48.
