DMACC men's cross country team finishes 10th in Grand View Invitational

 

The DMACC men's cross country team finished 10th in the Grand View Invitational September 24th at the DMACC cross country course in Ankeny.

 

The Bears scored 259 points in the meet. Grand View University (GVU)  took the team championship with 21 points and Nolan Rudd of St. Ambrose University (SAU) won medalist honors with a time of 25 minutes, 10 seconds on the 8K course.

 

DMACC was led by sophomore Devon Keuning of Ankeny, who finished 39th with a time of 28:55.

 

Other DMACC results saw freshmen Quinton Kimrey of Linden and Rochard TIngue of Haiti place 43rd and 56th respectively. Freshman Brooklyn Pierce of Urbandale was 59th and freshman Jake Hitchcock of Johnston rounded out DMACC's performance with a 62nd-place finish. Kimrey's time was 29:08, Tingue was timed in 30:12, Pierce posted a time of 30:34 and Hitchcock toured the course in 30:45.

 

The DMACC men's cross country team will run in the Indian Hills Invitational Oct. 14 at Ottumwa.
