DMACC's Spencer Clatt named ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II Men's Golf
  • Clatt took medalist honors in the DMACC Invitational with a 2-under-par 70
  • Clatt led the Bears to the team championship
  • Clatt has posted three under-par rounds this fall

 

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Spencer Clatt the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II Men's Golf for the week of October 9 to 15.

 

Clatt, a sophomore from Gilbert, also earned the honor for the week of Sept. 25 to Oct. 1 and he is the second member of the DMACC men's golf team to be honored by the ICCAC the fall. Freshman Drew Teeter of Albert Lea, Minn., was honored for the week of Oct. 2 to 8.

 

Clatt posted a two-under-par 70 in leading the Bears to the team championship in the DMACC invitational Oct. 9 at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone. DMACC posted an even-par 288 for the 18-hole tournament and came away with a 22-stroke advantage over DMACC B. Iowa Lakes Community College (ILCC) was 34 strokes back at 322.

 

The 2-under-par 70 turned in by Clatt was his third under-par round of the fall season.

 

The DMACC men's golf team will close out the fall season the Quad Cup today at Mason City.
