The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Drew Teeter the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II Men's Golf for the week of October 2 to 8.

Teeter, a freshman from Albert Lea, Minn., is the second member of the DMACC men's golf team to be honored by the ICCAC this fall. Spencer Clatt, a sophomore from Gilbert, received the honor for the week of Sept. 25 to Oct. 1.

Teeter took medalist honors in leading the Bears to the team championship in the Redtail Shootout Oct. 6 at Dike. He posted a three-under-par 69 to come away with a one-stroke advantage over runner-up Nico Booyens of Iowa Central Community College (ICCC).

Teeter was one under par after the first nine holes and then double-bogeyed the 12th hole. He atoned for that with an eagle on No. 13 and birdied 14 and 18 to come away with the win.

The DMACC men's golf team won the team championship by six strokes over the host team, Hawkeye Community College (HCC). The tournament included 10 teams, six from the ICCAC.

The DMACC men's golf team, coming off the team championship in the DMACC Invitational on Oct. 9, will close out the fall season in the Quad Cup Oct. 19 at Mason City.
