DMACC's Joe Husk named ICCAC Pitcher of the Week for Division II Baseball

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Joe Husak the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II Baseball (pitching) for the week of January 30 to February 5.

 

Husak, a sophomore from Cambridge, is one of two DMACC baseball players to be honored by the conference for the week of Jan. 30 to Feb. 5. Sophomore Mitchell Cummins of Chanhassen, Minn., was also named the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II baseball.

 

Husak got his first start of the season on Feb.4 when the Bears faced Northeast Oklahoma College-Tonkawa (NOCT) at Tonkawa, Okla. He threw four and a third innings, allowing three hits and an unearned run as the Bears came away with a 6-2 win.

 

Husak was the winning pitcher in the game and will carry a 1-0 record and an 0.00 earned run average into his next start.

 

The DMACC baseball team posted a 2-2 record in the four-game series.

 

The Bears are idle until Feb. 17 and 18 when they will play North Central Texas College (NCTC) in a four-game series at Gainesville, Texas.
