The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC's Kaleb Krier the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II baseball (pitching) for the week of February 21 to 27.

Krier is the second member of the DMACC baseball team to be honored by the conference this season. Freshman Simon Gregersen of Ramsey, Minn., earned the honor for the week of Feb. 5 to 13.

Krier, a Covid-19 freshman (CoFR) from Altoona, was nearly perfect in a 3-0 win over Northern Oklahoma College-Enid (NOCE) on Feb. 26. He didn't allow a base runner through 5.2 innings and allowed just one hit over six innings to come away with his second win of the season. He struck out six and did not issue a base on balls.

The DMACC baseball team will play doubleheaders against Butler Community College (BCC) March 4 and 5 at El Dorado, Kan.
