DMACC WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM RUNS AT SPARTAN CLASSIC IN CRESTON

The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) women's cross country team had only two runners compete in the Spartan Classic in Creston on Saturday, September 26.

North Iowa Area Community College won the event with 22 team points, followed by Indian Hills Community College with 33 points.  Since DMACC only had two runners competing and the top five runners' positions count for team standings, DMACC did not qualify for the team scores.

DMACC's Wendy Liera of LeGrand individually finished in seventh place with a time of 23:56:24 over the 5K course.  DMACC's Karima Koko of Des Moines took 10th place in a time of 25:11.03.

The DMACC women's cross country team will compete in the Trent Smith Invitational in Mason City on Friday, October. 9.
