DMACC Men's Cross Country Team Finishes Fourth in Region XI Meet

The DMACC men's cross country team​ closed out the regular season with a fourth-place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XI Division II Championships Oct. 30th at Fort Dodge.

The Bears scored 181 points in placing fourth.

Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) won the team championship with 17 points. The Tritons' Yared Kidane took individual honors with a time of 24 minutes, 54 seconds over the 8K course.

DMACC was led by freshman Quinton Kimrey of Lindon. Kimrey crossed the finish line with a time of 28:19 and finished 20th in the individual competition.

Other DMACC results saw sophomore Devon Keuning of Ankeny place 32nd and freshman Jake Hitchcock of Johnston was 35th. Freshman Rochard Tingue of Haiti and sophomore Brooklyn Pierce rounded out the Bears' performance with 46th- and 48th-plae finishes respectively. Keuning's time was 29:25, Hitchcock crossed the finish line in 29:36, Tingue posted a time of 31:42 and Pierce came across the finish line with a time of 32:01.

The DMACC men's cross country team will run in the NJCAA Men's Cross Country Championships Nov. 12th at Tallahassee, Fla.​
