The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) men's cross country team opened the 2020 season in the 16th Grand View Viking Invitational held at DMACC on Friday, September 11.
Sophomore Cameron Campbell of Ames ran the 8K course in 30:40.4 for DMACC finishing in 66th place. DMACC freshman Preston Rogers of Winterset came in 80th with a time of 31:38.1. Freshmen Riley Heilskov of Ankeny finished 90th in 32:25.5. Sophomore Cole Bennett of Ogden finished in 98th in 34:02.2.
Iowa Central Community College won the invitational with 22 team points including meet winner Kevin Bungei who ran the course in 26:17.5. North Iowa Area Community College finished in second place in the team standings with 54 points.
The DMACC men's cross country team will run in the Spartan Invitational in Creston on Friday, September 25.
