Coach Larry Briley was the Head Coach for DMACC Golf from 2004 until 2016 when he turned leadership of the program over to current Head Coach Chris Seaboch.  Coach Briley remains the Assistant Coach.  He is responsible for starting the Women's Golf Program in 2004 and re-starting the Men's Program in 2007.  Previously to 2007 DMACC Men's golf last competed in 1978.

Before starting the programs he spent several years caddying for Boone native and ISU standout Shelley Finnestad on the LPGA Tour including the 1998 U.S. Women's Open.  Because of his experiences as a caddy, he brings a wealth of knowledge on course management and has proven to be a talented instructor.

On the Men's side he has been responsible for qualifying 1 team to the National Championship and 9 individual Players.  Since 2010 his teams have never finished outside of 3rd Place in the ICCAC Regional Tournament. During his last season as Head Coach he qualified is 1st ever Men's team for the National Championship finishing in 19th Place.

His Women's teams have achieved a lot of success during his tenure.  He has qualified 8 teams for the National Championship and has had 43 women represent DMACC at the Women's NJCAA National Championship.  His teams have finished a program best 10th Place twice during the National Championship.  In the 2016-2017 season he helped Jaime Bellingham accomplish DMACC's first ever All American Honors.  The DMACC Women's program has competed in 17 straight Women's NJCAA National Championship appearances either as a team or indivudually.

He maintains a strong relationship with several of his past players and has a unique gift of connecting with his players both past and present.

In his free time he enjoys attending several other DMACC sporting events.  He also enjoys traveling and golfing with his wife Krista and golfing with his daughter Jalyn (Briley) Heeren, who competed for the Bears from 2012-2014.  He is a lifelong Boone native.
