The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named DMACC’s Reanna Hutchinson the ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Division II Women’s Basketball for the week of January 9 to 15.

 

Hutchinson, a freshman from Eau Claire, Wis., is the second DMACC women’s basketball player to be honored by the conference this season. Freshman Jaden Ainley of Clear Lake received the honor for the week of Nov. 21 to 27.

 

Hutchinson averaged 17.2 points a game as DMACC won three consecutive games during the week. She scored in double figures in each of the three games.

 

Hutchinson scored a season-high 22 points, grabbed six rebounds and finished with five steals in a 75-52 win over Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) on Jan. 11. She had 12 points, three rebounds and three steals in an 80-37 win against the Central College Junior Varsity (CCJV) on Jan. 12 and tallied 18 points as the Bears defeated Marshalltown Community College (MCC), 93-34, on Jan. 14.

 

Hutchinson made 12 three-point baskets during the week, including six in the win over MCC. In addition to scoring a total of 52 points, she had 10 rebounds and nine steals.

 

Hutchinson is fourth in the ICCAC in three-point baskets made with 16 and is seventh in three-point percentage at 43.2 percent.

 

Hutchinson has scored 134 points this season and is averaging 7.9 points as game. She is shooting 43 percent from the field, having made 52 of 120 field goal attempts. Hutchinson has made 23 of 66 three-point attempts for 34.8 percent and has made seven of nine free throw attempts for 77.8 percent.

 

Hutchinson’s season also includes 35 rebounds, 24 defensive rebounds, 12 assists and 15 steals.
